The early history of UF7039 is not yet clear; it may have been built as a car and converted to a pick up during the 1939-45 war, or may always have been a pick-up. It came to a timber company in Sutton Coldfield in the 1990s and was used for local deliveries and as a marketing feature for the company, until it suffered an engine failure due to frost damage. It came to the Museum, where it has been restored to full running order, after a replacement engine was sourced. It is now on display pending a decision by its owners on its future life.
