This vehicle comes from the final batch of the lightweight vehicles delivered in the period 1955-1963, and totalling 172 in number, over half the fleet in their prime.

The majority of them passed into the hands of West Midlands PTE following the take-over in 1974. Steady withdrawals saw them all gone by the end of the decade when one man operation had become the norm.

Subsequently 334 was one of the few to survive the scrap man when it was sold to Birmingham Social Services Department, and converted to a playbus, which was better known as "Rodney".

September 2009, and 334 returns to Witton following a complete restoration, chassis repaired, interior reconstructed, repainted, and ready for the road. This vehicle is now part of our operating fleet, and is regularly used on our free bus services. Why not come along for a ride.
